Bizety is celebrating its one year anniversary. Initially, the blog started out as a hobby. I had no clue where it would go. I just posted my take on various CDN topics, and gave a brief analysis on the subject. In the beginning, many asked what the purpose of the blog was and who was the target audience, and it was difficult to answer, as I really didn’t know. I thought it would be a BtoC informational site, however, a big chunk of my followers are CDNs, Carriers, Cloud Providers and the Fortune 2000. Looking at the raw log files, I have about 20k+ followers. I have received praise from hundreds of engineers, product managers, VP’s, CTO’s and founders. Even some Wall Street firms have thanked me for the insight. I’m not bragging, I’m just humbled by the experience, and blown away. The positive feedback keeps me going.
Blogging is a very time intensive task, but when one enjoy it, it makes it easier to do. As one can see, I have posted at a furious pace for the last 12 months, sometimes knocking out 10+ post in 3 days. Over 50% of my followers are overseas, from all parts of the world. I even noticed that a few CDNs have incorporated my content into their value props, which is kind of cool when you think about it. Many have asked where the name bizety came from. The “biz” stands for business, and the “ety” turns it into a word that can be pronounced. Also, I do the graphics all myself. It took me a while to get the skill set down pat. To all my followers around the world, Happy Holidays, and feel free to reach out anytime.
