Cool Company – LiveQoS (RAN Optimization)

LiveQoS, a startup based in Ottawa, Canada is a pioneer in the mobile optimization space. They are one of the very few companies providing a high performance file transfer service (UDP, TCP) for video delivery over mobile. They are like an Aspera for the mobile market. There are two pieces that make the UDP file transfer service possible; the client (SDK) in which mobile developers integrate into their mobile app, and a server instance that runs on Amazon or other cloud service, which communicates to the client. In addition, LiveQoS provides a high performance TCP  file transfer service that improves existing FTP file sharing capabilities. Presently, LiveQoS has 25 engineers and architects from the likes of Nortel, Newbridge, Mitel, Blackberry, Cisco and Ciena.
